Gobblerpedia is a community-made repository of free information about Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg, and the surrounding area. While this wiki isn't necessarily restricted to Virginia Tech, it can be expected that much of the content will focus specifically on the university.

Logo Contest

We are desperately in need of a prettier logo. Requirements for the contest are that it prominently display "Gobblerpedia" and incorporate some symbol of Virginia Tech (i.e. Newman Library, Burruss Hall), but not one trademarked by the university (i.e. Pylons, stylized VT, or shield). The winner of the logo contest will receive comestibles to be negotiated (i.e. beer or pizza) and attribution in the Gobblerpedia article.

Editing

No hard guidlines are yet in place. It is preferable to use proper names as the main page for an article and redirect with any abbreviations or nicknames. Also, Virginia Tech is the assumed namespace, if you will, so leaving off "at Virginia Tech" is probably a good way to not let article names get too long. The University Style Guide is probably the best starting place for additional style guidelines.
