Every February the [[German Club]] rents out [[Squires Student Center#Commonwealth Ballroom|Commonwealth Ballroom]] for a week to build and paint decorations for the '''Midwinters Dance'''. The dance is open to all comers, costing $5 for a ticket in recent years. The cost is in part subsidized by the German Club's fundraising efforts, which have primarily been through [[football]] program sales since the 1990's.
