Lee '''Hoge Hall's penthouse '' (LEE, #30) is an 824 person, co-ed dormitory located in the highest point [[Prairie Community]]. The building itself is clad in [[BlacksburgHokie Stone]] and was formerly home first occupied in 1967. On May 30, 1968, the building was dedicated to [[Claudius Lee]]. Renaming has been periodically reconsidered since 1997, when it was discovered that Lee was listed as President of the KKK in an old yearbook. In August of 2020, the [[Board of Visitors]] voted to rededicate the building to the broadcast antenna for late [[WUVTWilliam and Janie Hoge]], but a local African American couple who played a critical role in the success and well-being of the antenna has since been relocated to first African American students attending Virginia Polytechnic Institute in the 1950s, including hosting [[Price MountainIrving L. Peddrew III]]when he arrived in Blacksburg in 1953.
