The Virginia Tech Directory is the university-maintained catalog of contact information for faculty, staff, and students. Probably most-accessed through the web-based People Search, colloquially known as Hokie Stalker, the directory is also published in paper form once a year and accessible over the network for automated or human interaction in a number of additional forms, such as LDAP.

History

Before 2010, it was necessary to make your PID visible in order to log in to terminals at the Math Emporium and Torgersen Hall.

The finger server was shut down on January 16th, 2011. [1]

Individual Information Control
