Every February the German Club rents out Commonwealth Ballroom for a week to build and paint decorations for the Midwinters Dance. The dance is open to all comers, costing $5 for a ticket in recent years. The cost is in part subsidized by the German Club's fundraising efforts, which have primarily been through football program sales since the 1990's.
