ECE 3534: Microprocessor System Design, commonly referred to as micro, is a computer engineering class, often taken by sophomores in that major. The course concentrates on designing systems powered by a microprocessor, and is not about designing microprocessors, as the name might be taken to imply.

Required Software

The course uses the Xilinx MicroBlaze. A compiler, assembler and programmer for this platform is necessary. The Xilinx tools are cross-platform and freeware or free software.
