Goldrush is an event hosted annually in the Spring by the German Club to bring together sororities to raise money for their philanthropies. Each sorority raises money, and contributes half to a pot. The pot is also added to from some event hosted by the German Club, such as a concert or barbecue. The participating sororities then send members to the German Club Manor where they compete in field games for the pot. In 2011, the pot was roughly $4000, and the winning sorority received 50%, the second place sorority 30% and the third place sorority 20%. Any winnings, as well as half of the original funds raised, go to a given sorority's philanthropy.
