'''No Strings Attached''' is an eclectic jazz group based in [[Roanoke]] and [[Blacksburg]]. The group has been nominated for several NAIRD INDIE awards, and won the award for Best Album in 1988 for "Take 5". Groups they have opened for include Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, the Dixie Chicks, John McCutcheon, Nickel Creek, and Turtle Island String Quartet. The quartet has played at venues across the States and Europe, including at the Kennedy Center, for CBS's Morning News, and in Wales, Ireland, Switzerland. The group wrote and recorded the theme song for the radio show [[w:World Cafe|World Cafe]]. As of Spring 2011, the group reports radio play in 36 states and two foreign countries.
