'''Hoge Hall''' (LEE, #30) is an 824 person, co-ed dormitory located in the [[Prairie Community]]. The building itself is clad in [[Theme housingHokie Stone]] programs and was first occupied in 1967. On May 30, 1968, the building was dedicated to [[Claudius Lee include ]]. Renaming has been periodically reconsidered since 1997, when it was discovered that Lee was listed as President of the KKK in an old yearbook. In August of 2020, the [[Galileo Engineering Learning CommunityBoard of Visitors]], which occupies voted to rededicate the building to the sixth late [[William and seventh floorsJanie Hoge]], a local African American couple who played a critical role in the success and well-being of the first African American students attending Virginia Polytechnic Institute in the 1950s, including hosting [[Biological and Life Sciences Learning CommunityIrving L. Peddrew III]]when he arrived in Blacksburg in 1953.
Lee Hall's penthouse is the highest point in [[Blacksburg]] and was formerly home to the broadcast antenna for [[WUVT]]until summer 2009, but the antenna has since been when broadcasting for WUVT was relocated to [[Price Mountain]].
